On my last van 2016 (2017MY) 2.3 130bhp euro 6. The throttle valve wiring block connector would fill up with water, corroding the terminals, a good clean up and soaking both sides with spray white grease, plugging together and more white grease seemed to cure the water ingress. OP.

My Fiat Ducato service manual indicates that the 3 Litre 160 is a Sofim engine and has a cambelt which is included in the Service Schedule the same as the 2.3 120 and 130 engines. I was under the impression that the 3 Litre had a cam chain, as does the 2.2 Litre 100. The Fiat Sales Brochure for the Ducato quite clearly states that the 3 Litre
Hi, my panda is currently "out of order" since I had a problem with the timing chain which got loose and riped part of the oil pump and caused crankshaft failure Now I need a new (used) engine to replace the old one. The problem is that it is quite a challenge to find an exact model of this
Jan 13, 2014. #2. the engine is used by Fiat , Peugeot, Citroen in various guises, the Fiat tends to be 2.3lt 110 or 130 whereas the others tend to be 2.2lt 100 & 120's the current Fiat 2.3 can also be a 150. so it looks as if chipping / reprogramming would be available.

The 2.3 is a fiat 130 or 150bhp multijet, which is the most common one on the 2006-2014 x250 motorhome base chassis.
Oct 27, 2012. #2. the 2.2 in a 57 reg is basically a ford transit chain cam engine. in theory a chain cam engine should not need a new chain but if it gets noisy u need to get it checked out. could be a problem with lubrication which causes the chain to cut into the adjuster/tensioner. if the oil is changed regularly it should be good for 100K

I am trying to understand why this is necessary, I would have though locking the camshafts with the two locking pins and locking
